If Client’s site utilizes Google Analytics, Google Ads, etc then Client’s web site is collecting PII. Fines for non-compliance can be extremely high.
Marketer highly recommends Client seek legal advise on what would be required for their web site for GDPR compliance.
Note: protecting site visitors’ privacy is something that should be taken seriously no matter where Client is located.
